The whole world was confused, surprised awestruck or even panicked on hearing U.S. election results. All statistical pundits were busy redrawing their graphs and correcting their data. Amidst this chaos,  in other part of the world another sensation was in making .Indian Prime minister announced demonetization of high denomination currencies in one among the world’s big economies.
The well kept secret let out at pre-empt   timing made vitals of many to take a nose dive. The following days saw mad rush to the banks to exchange and deposit old currencies. Those who had never been to a bank even tried their luck at the winding queues.
Now after 50 days of turmoil will our Jacob lead us to the promised land. The intentions maybe irrefutable but is the path that easy? Its an open answer and that’s a big NO
I’m a common citizen , even I can make a wild guess without any statistics that 1/4th of the expected 14 lakh crores will not make its way back to govt. In that unfound treasure half will be destroyed and half will be exchanged and restocked in black. Even with that regained wealth our nation will be super rich with no deficit budget. Now it’s time for thought the other way.
What all can be done to strengthen the nation. To start with let the finance ministry setup expert committees of all retired babus to advise how to spend the new got wealth, we need a minimum of 20 such committees  after all we got huge folks of retired bureaucrats to be amused. As our politicians will be the most affected community let’s give a 100% hike to our legislators and parliamentarians salaries. All bad loans to be waived let it be 10% of agriculture loans and all corporate loans as we need  them most  to pump up our economy( here pumping in the right sense). The judiciary, we will recommend big hikes to their count too, but won’t increase their numbers as more work and less strength will always keep that jack a dull boy. Are these the only goodies that we can do with the fortune gained. There are a few more silly things.
We shall re vamp our rail infra so that a migrant laborer from Assam can reach his home safely on time for Bihu from Thiruvananthapuram. The state may fund medical universities. Medical education can be a state sponsored one and money making sharks should be shunted out of the field as more costly the medical education more costly goes the health care. How can we expect service from a doctor who spends lakhs to get his degree. There are so many such silly things which may be carried out with the exhumed  wealth, there are many brilliant foresighted minds who can plan for collective development  of the nation. Let them all have their say and make my land soar over the dragon and others
Hey got another queek are there any plans for a Mohamed of Ghazni era Somnath temple like one at our heart land.

Being Human

Me or Mine…. a few months ago I blogged, though it was responded well I had a doubt which kept building all these days. An incident in my street affirmed my doubts. There lives a she dog ( right word for female dog being bitch, as its meaning being irreversibly changed I call she) in my street. I have always seen her moving around lazily rather cowardly with tail dangling down, even never heard her bark. The dog delivered puppies and was nurturing those weak, malnourished puppies. Few days before I was standing near my gate, saw two pigs coming close to those puppies, I don’t think they were to hurt the puppies , but from nowhere came their mother dashing with all furry and barking profusely. She almost caught hold of the pork around the neck of those innocent pigs who were surprised as me seeing the mother’s reaction. She didn’t give up until they ran away from that place.
This incident provoked the other way thought in me. A weak lazy dog shows full commitment towards her puppies. So parenting is Universal, we humans can’t take credit for that saying I did that for my son or I sacrificed this for my daughter. Even a cow, a crow, a tiger or even a dog does that equally even at times more than what a human does. So as a father or a mother whatever you do for your children is universally common to all creatures. Stop saying to your children, I use to carry you on my shoulders when you were 3 years old. Even a tiger carries its cub with its teeth, the same teeth used to tear the flesh of its prey.
As humans we have to be different parenting is universal but reverse parenting though sounds different will be what that makes us different from other animals. No animal takes care of its parents nor is expected by nature, but we humans make a mark. We care for our parents, we nourish them through their old age and we protect preserve and parent them when they need it most. If we don’t do this we stand in line along with other beings at times even lower than many animals.
Parenting is universal, never claim credit for doing that. It’s just you have done the job which nature expects you to do. But taking care of your parents will make you human. Even that will be a part of parenting, in a way teaching your children what they are expected to do to you.
Be resolved whether you are going to be in line with a stray dog or be HUMAN- The sixth sensed and better of all other creations.

 THE MADRAS I LOVE
I had always been proud in saying I’m  from ‘Madras’. The only referral the whole of India gave to anyone from south till very recent time. Though being one of the 4 metros my city was happy to be more conservative than the rest. When we were criticized for less Hindi language acquaintance, we stood out in computer languages. We religiously followed the seating allocations in public transport.  Even a sick person would vacate a lady’s seat if one lady enters the bus. This was the Madras in which I lived. But times have changed the city has grown much big in size , we chose the Tamil name for our city but forgot Tamil values.
Nungambakkam – a close to my heart railway station in the cities local line. I have played along with my cousins in those platforms during my childhood. The most lively thriving station. A girl laid dead with gruesome injuries for 3 hrs in that platform. The dead was a girl or boy I won’t get into that, but a life laid struggling and people around went on with their  routines. Even crows gather in number to help or at least console an injured crow. Have we gone so insane?
A thought the other way, maybe everyone would have expected a hero like in kollywood to emerge from nowhere and carry the bleeding in his arms faster than the trains and save. Yes this must have been the thought of many over there as we are much inclined to movies than our society.
Ours is a society which was groomed by writers and artists, whether it be freedom struggle or be social reforms, theatre had a lead role in that. Even our Rulers had been artists since half a decade. So we are used to expect super heros to do everything for us. We follow the celluloid than most of the other societies. Hence the industry has got much more responsibility towards  the society. They should stop gratifying violence. A rogue, violent, less literate hero is always being loved by a pretty rich young girl at times even by two. A hero always chases a girl and makes her love him. In other words she succumbs to his masculine approaches. But when these stunts are applied in real life permutations and combinations get messed up and end up in dirty climax.
Another thought the other way when a boy romances more than one girl he is cradled as a Playboy and most of the time is being let off for his mischiefs. Then why such wild cry if a girl tends to be a play girl, “why should boys have all fun”. Any way my city is growing big. We are getting civilized now we have also started killing poor pedestrians with luxury cars. Mumbai and Delhi hold we are joining your club.
But as a true Madraskaran I want my old conservative madras back, where everyone is called ‘Sir’ and every household lives in harmony. If , thought to be extinct sparrows can come back even my city could be retrieved

A Pre Monsoon wedding
A century ago in a remote village lived a tough looking postman along with his strong determined wife. Those days, maybe marriage meant reproduction and they did the same until the count reached eight. In that age of socialist India and communist Kerala survival was a fight and for this family of 10 along with their cattle it was a war.
The courageous lady had a vision and plans for future of the family. The eldest son left home to the promised land of those days followed by other siblings. Hard work being the lesson from their mother they all succeeded the tests of life. Years rolled on, the family reunited to celebrate a marriage, a pre Monsoon wedding in a humid city. All the siblings of that great lady are themselves now grandparents. Their children all well off, few in U.S few in Gulf and others in different cities of India. A struggling family in a small village is now a thriving global family. Everyone’s life style is different from others. But all stand united whenever situations arise
These people with unique nose and mostly dimpled are also an example of the development of rural India in last 60 years. Hence the family are a prototype model of Shine India. The wedding gave me an insight into the families asset, that is affection without any apprehensions and it is now passed on to the next generation. Though the Pre Monsoon wedding gala was sweaty and sticky it revealed me the cool and warmth of the family of that grand old postman and his focused wife.

Shani's shani

Shani’s shani
Its history made in a tiny village in Maharashtra. Women let in to….. No forced their way into the Shani temple of shingnapur. Reforms and transformations had been a part of Hinduism, which is proved by its very existence from times immemorial as it is natures law that whatever resists change (evolution) will perish. So one fact made clear Hinduism is going to thrive for long.
But Shani who is known to take people for a ride from the days of Nala & Harishchandra faced the music. Did u know no house in Shingnapur village have doors, the reason being a strong belief that Shanidev protected them. As Shani’s time went bad he had to be given few tiers of protection by armed policemen.
With acquired strength, legal support and media coverage the activists have turned attention to other shrines where they feel discrimination exists. First  being sabarimala.
Though believers say, the diety is a “Brahmachari” and follows it as a vow, menstruating women should stay away. Activists and elite panelists of various TV channels feel it is discrimination against womanhood. It is very difficult to convince them as they are determined not to be convinced. So let events happen the way it is going to be. The activists will approach courts and get a ruling, politicians will be cautious in taking sides, strong Devasom board will find difficult to balance belief with reality and may succumb to pressure. Now the other way, nothing to worry income will double for the super rich shrine with increased foot fall, infrastructure and security concerns will get privilege at the shrine to accommodate women.
“Believers will continue to believe, Reformers will continue their reforms”- here again natures law comes into actions (Survival Of The Fittest) Strong believes prevail others perish. One belief will remain TALL and STRONG that’s HINDUISM by assimilating all reforms changes criticisms and revolts.

Bhag Mallya Bhag

Bhag mallya mallya
The first time I saw a Kingfisher was in your label. Even now never seen the bird in the concrete jungle, where I live. Heard ED had issued 3rd notice. Don’t know how much they can issue as per their SoP. You were poster boy of the country a few years ago. You were celebrated as a patriot when you brought back the Tipu Sultan sword a decade ago from an English auction house. But good times have changed. Along with you even Tipu Sultan is being made controversial.
“God”…. Now I remember you even bringing Mahatma’s things over auction. But sure ‘Father of The Nation’ will be spared from petty politics. We Indians are well known to forget things too fast. As we forgot your deeds of patriotism we will soon forget your financial mischief’s    and you will come out same old flamboyant , maybe Phoenix be your brand symbol then.
You were the first desi to change the outlook  of our Indian calendars you were our banner to say to the world that even India have zero size models. Those poor things,  have you taken them along with you.
In India it had always been a scene that the borrower  (mainly farmers) commit suicide owing to the lenders pressure. It’s you who is set to change that bourgeois tic  custom, as don’t know how many lenders are to die unnatural deaths.
Many suggest you in tabloids to sell off your cruise, jet,  F1 team some dump heads suggest  even your brewery shares. But being a real well wisher I would suggest , take on all notices, lead a cool life in a English county for few years, then a time will come when a finance minister will announce that your case is settled by sending few retired bank officers behind bars and writing off your debts by introducing .5% entertainment cess. Till then Bhag Mallya Bhag.
Forgot a personal question, Is your son’s spikes still erect.

Let Trumph be the president

Let Trumph be the president
Donald trump the aspirant for White House is seen as fowl mouthed, maverick saying all irrational, undiplomatic stuff. But do we Indians have any issue in him being the president. Obviously  not. As we have many such trumps in our scenario... much greater thing is that they have just one.
Another realistic view is that you can utter any rubbish (like total liquor  prohibition in T.N) while fighting elections but enforcing things needs real guts and support. In no way I see him a threat for India. He says he will stop china in south china sea by curtailing Chinese product imports. Effect, US inflation will rise GDP goes down and most products will find way into India probably through Nepal and Bangladesh helping our neighbours even to thrive those mosquito bats may cost just 50/-
He says he will make immigration rules strict. Effect – US will pay more for their sons of soil than the Asians. India’s brain drain will slow down, many who had already made fortunes may return and become entrepreneurs.  Google, Intel, Microsoft may shift HQ to Pune (probably not Bangalore or Hyderabad or Chennai)
So fellow Indians need not worry of the Trump effects post presidential elections there are few Trumps ( even much worse ones ) trying their luck in Indian politics.
            GOD SAVE  AMERICA          oops               INDIA
